The In Between Home is a record of rebuilding — one room, one system, one deliberate choice at a time.

I started this publication during a period of significant transition. I moved out of a long-held family home and into an apartment with almost nothing beyond personal items and what fit in my car. I slept on an air mattress, unpacked slowly, and began rebuilding from the ground up — physically, logistically, and emotionally.

This is not a divorce blog in the sensational sense. I don’t document conflict, assign blame, or relitigate the past. What I’m interested in is the quieter work that follows: creating stability after disruption, making thoughtful decisions when resources — time, energy, emotional bandwidth — are limited, and building a home that supports real life rather than performs for it.

Here, you’ll find writing about setting up a home from scratch in a rental, prioritizing what actually matters when starting over, and designing calm, functional spaces under real constraints. It’s about creating routines that reduce friction and mental load, choosing fewer, better things, and living with them intentionally.

I write for people navigating in-between seasons — separation, relocation, loss, reinvention. People who want beauty, but also clarity. Peace, but not at the expense of honesty.

Some posts include specific products, furniture, or systems I use. When I share something, it’s because it earned its place — through function, durability, or the way it made everyday life feel more manageable. I value practicality over perfection, and intention over excess.

This space is private, respectful, and forward-looking. It’s not about the life I left behind.

It’s about the one I’m actively building.

Welcome.
